DME Inc. was established in 1979 as the parent company of the
Dixie Dance Kings
(DDK). DDK has been in continuous operation longer than
any other record pool in the music business. The DDK Dance and Urban charts have
been in constant publication since 1979 and are two of the oldest dance charts currently
published, second only to the Billboard Club Play chart.
Over the past 30 years we have worked with some of the top DJs in business, and most
of the record labels in the US, and many from overseas helping to distribute their
product promotionally and gain exposure for the music and the artists.
In addition to our work with DJs and artists, DME’s president and founder, Dan Miller, has appeared on and moderated numerous panels for
Winter
Music Conference, DJ Times’ DJ Expo,
Billboard’s Dance Music Summit and
New Music Seminar. He also
produced The International DJ Competition for Nightclub and Bar Magazine for a number
of years with partner Michael Goldman.
